What levels of guitar playing do you teach?
I teach beginners to early intermediate

How do lessons work?
After our first lesson, I will know what level you are and what musical tastes you have and what you want out of the lessons. From then on the lessons will be planned with your goals in mind.

Can anyone of any age learn?
Yes, it just requires a desire to make music and a commitment to practise. I recommend that a parent or guardian of a younger student sit in on the first lesson, that way everybody knows what is involved and any questions can be answered.
 

Do I need to bring a guitar?

No, I have guitars you can use for the lesson. A guitar for use at home would be very useful though and I can help with recommending the right guitar for you.

 

Do I need to read music?

No, I will teach you to interpret a chord chart and read tablature and rhythm notation. If you wish to learn to read standard notation then that can be done too.

Can I cancel a lesson once it is booked?
Yes, although if the cancellation is within 24 hours then I will still charge you as I will have had to keep the lesson appointment open for you and it is unlikely that I will be able to fill that time with another pupil. 
In the unlikely event that I cancel a lesson I will aim to give you at least 24 hours notice where possible.
